This week and weekend
Agents around the country are reporting that sellers, in some cities, are moving auction dates forward ahead of an anticipated slowdown in the market. This week there are 2,422 capital city homes set to be auctioned, up from the 2,274 options last week.
Both Melbourne and Sydney are set to see an increase in numbers while across the smaller auction markets volumes are set to be higher in Brisbane, Canberra, and Perth while Adelaide and Tasmania will see fewer homes offered this week.
Last week
Last week, the combined capital cities saw volumes rise and return a final clearance rate of 65.3% which was a decrease on the 68.6% clearance rate the week prior.
