The Summer Job That Changed It All

His original plan was to get a summer job at commercial and investment banks and be at Wall Street. But that wasn’t the case when he got into Coldwell Banker.
“I set up the interview, again, not knowing that it was a real estate company…I went on the interview they offered me the job. I took it because again it was the only job that was offered for the summer…absolutely loved it from my first day on the job,” Robert Knakal recalls.
His foray into the real estate industry was unintentional. But it led him to be founding half of Massey Knakal Realty Services, and eventually become chairman of New York Investment Sales at JLL.
See him today as he shares about his roots from New Jersey to New York, his career milestones to becoming one of the Big Apple’s real estate giants.
