REIP Newsletter – September 2021

Welcome to this month’s REIP Industry Pulse. With the NSW and VIC lockdowns currently set to continue through September, there is a lot of talk in the industry about the spring market being pushed back to late spring or early summer. Right now, it’s great to see vaccination rates climbing but until they reach the 70% milestone, we’ll continue to face a shortage of new stock and have to limit our movements to comply with the 5km radius rule.

REIP Industry Pulse August 2021

Welcome to this month’s REIP Industry Pulse. July saw 50% of Australia’s population plunged into lockdown due the rapid spread of the Delta Strain with borders being “slammed” shut. This it seems will be the next normal until we have a high percentage of the population vaccinated. I did my bit and got my first Pfizer shot a few weeks ago. During this turbulent time, the real estate sector has reacted and pivoted quickly to the ever-changing circumstances, and I’ve watched many successful adaptations to how we conduct our business including virtual inspections, flexible working and contactless exchanges.

REIP Industry Pulse – July 2021

June has seen further lockdowns across the country and states opening and shutting borders. There is one constant in all of this – there is no guarantee from week to week of anything. Like many of you, I have canceled many flights over the last month, however, I am hoping that I will be able to have my week in Noosa at the end of July.
