It’s very sad to see buyers advocacy being commoditised and cheapened by people aggregating the offering and taking a 20 % commission on the client fee. That is for nothing other than providing unqualified leads to any buyers agent who will pay for a lead, regardless of their experience or skill level.

We all know how the ‘cheap fee’ model Purple Bricks turned out !

Buyers agents do 5 times the work of a selling agent and it’s highly complex. The fees they charge are fair and cheaper than the mistake consumers make buying the wrong property worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Highly qualified, reputable and skilled buyers agents don’t need to participate in this type of arrangement as they are worth the fee they charge.

Consumers are unlikely to see the best of the best in this format, which could negatively effect their outcome.

The best and most skilled buyers agents are Real Estate Buyers Agent Association (REBAA) members and can be found on that website. Fees vary and are negotiable.
