• Melbourne sales dip below last year
  
• Sydney owners sell early
• Lowest clearance in over a year

Nationally, there were 2,245 properties scheduled for auction this week.  Of the 1,683 results collected so far by CoreLogic, 55.4 percent were successful – the lowest preliminary clearance rate since late April 2020. In Melbourne, 64.3 percent of properties were withdrawn, impacting that city’s preliminary clearance rate of 34.7 percent.   In Sydney, 598 properties were taken to auction, showing an 82.7 per cent success rate with 421 (57.2 per cent) sold prior.  Across the smaller auction markets, Adelaide was the best performer with 81.3 percent and Brisbane delivered a 71.8 percent result.
