There were 1,813 homes taken to auction across the combined capital cities this week, with the lower volumes attributed to the ANZAC Day long weekend.  Of the 1,414 capital city results collected so far, 67.6 percent were successful which is the lowest preliminary clearance rate recorded so far this year. 

There were 686 homes taken to auction across Melbourne this week, while in Sydney there were 721 auctions conducted.  

Across the smaller capitals, Adelaide recorded the highest preliminary auction clearance rate (80.4 percent), followed by Canberra (72.2 percent) and Brisbane (66.3 percent).
