There were 2,155 homes scheduled for auction across the combined capital cities this week, up from 1,803 over the previous week. Of the 1,763 results collected so far, 73.9% have reported a successful result.
Melbourne was host to 894 auctions this week, overtaking Sydney as the busiest capital city for auctions. Of the 756 results collected so far in Melbourne, 71.7% were successful.
In Sydney, 887 homes were taken to auction this week. The preliminary clearance rate came in at 76.9%.
Across the smaller cities, Canberra recorded the highest preliminary clearance rate at 78.4%, followed by Adelaide at 75.0%, and Brisbane at 63.5%.
