The week ahead
The 2021 auction market is ramping up. CoreLogic will be watching 1,321 homes scheduled for auction across the combined capital cities this week, up from 884 last week and 1,167 this time last year.
This week, just under half of all capital city homes scheduled for auction are in Melbourne. There are currently 456 homes set for auction in Sydney this week, increasing from 270 last week.
Across the smaller auction markets, Brisbane and Perth will see auction activity rise over the week, with 84 auctions scheduled in Brisbane, and 20 in Perth.
With auction volumes set to increase by almost 50 per cent this week, it will be interesting to see how the clearance rates hold up across the combined capitals.
Last week
CoreLogic final auction clearance results from last week came in at 77.2 per cent across the combined capital cities last week, the highest final clearance rate recorded since the week ending 26th February 2017.
