After 3 years of development testing and tweaking, the Realty listing distribution platform is now delivering over 5,000 social media posts a day to audiences nationally. The company’s secret is in the fact that the tech developed by Realty Labs, part of the Realty Media Group, allows the start-up prop tech platform to instantly publish available properties for sale and rent through its established 664 Facebook pages spread nationwide that have been geo-coded for specific targeted delivery.
Realty CEO Troy Rushton said, “That probably makes us the most prolific social media posting entity in the world. The Realty philosophy was built as a juxtaposition to traditional portals that rely on traffic to their site to expose agents’ listings to consumers. The Realty model delivers the properties to where the audience already exists – that is the difference” Rushton said.
“We believe our distribution model is a world first piece of technology and it was developed right here in Australia.”
“We have had interest from operators in other countries who would like to use our proprietary technology, but for the time being we are rolling it out to agents and agency groups in Australia” he said.
“Consumers are spending huge amounts of time on social media to connect, gather information and learn about what is happening, especially in these troubling times. It is estimated that people spend 80 times more on social media than on traditional real estate websites.” Rushton added.
“Speed to market is a key objective for agents when marketing to consumers and to win in that game, instant delivery of a property’s availability, price and inspection details to a wide audience is critical” said industry influencer and Realty Director Michael Sheargold.
“The tech developed by Realty to do this simultaneously on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google and Pinterest, the moment a property is listed, is both ground-breaking and represents a huge cost savings to agents and property sellers” Michael added.
Asked what the thinking was behind developing Realty, CEO and Founder Troy Rushton said “Print was once relied on to connect properties to passive buyers but with print fading, social media platforms are the new way to connect to buyers and renters who may not yet know they
want to make a move”.
