The length of time you are in real estate or your age has no influence on your possibility of success!<\/p>\n
Let me explain. Quite often I see real estate agents who claim to have been in real estate for 10 to 15 years \u2013 even longer \u2013 but when I dig deeper it is more likely to be 1 year 10 to 15 times over. You see some people don\u2019t grow. They reach a level they are comfortable with and then become a closed book.<\/p>\n
You will quite often hear them say, \u201cI will believe it when I see it\u201d. Doubters \u2013 non-believers \u2013 negative people. I prefer to be around people who believe they will \u201csee it when they believe it\u201d.<\/p>\n
Young people are brilliant at this. Not just young people but people new to any profession. They don\u2019t know what they don\u2019t know and therefor become a sponge.<\/p>\n
In his book called \u201cYou\u2019ll see it when YOU believe it\u201d, Dr Wayne Dyer says: \u201cChange the way you look at things and the things you look at change.\u201d<\/p>\n
Here are my tips for the \u2018young guns\u2019<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Who do you mix with?<\/strong> Motivational speaker Jim Rohn famously said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.<\/p>\n Take chances.<\/strong> Risk failure. All successful people know that, to increase their wins, they\u2019ve also got to increase their losses.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t quit. <\/strong>As well as mindset, you must have a plan and then the discipline to stick to it. Stay focused.<\/strong> Review your goals each morning before you start your day, or set and review your goals for the next day before you go to sleep.<\/p>\n Do the little things.<\/strong> A great way to cultivate the habit of being disciplined is to focus on doing the little things you know you should do. As you discipline yourself to do the little things, you will become more disciplined in doing the bigger, more important things.<\/p>\n Follow through.<\/strong> Make decisions ahead of time. Without follow through you have no discipline.<\/p>\n Reward yourself.<\/strong> When you accomplish the things, which require your discipline, your success will be what rewards your effort.
