{"id":10328,"date":"2017-10-19T08:00:37","date_gmt":"2017-10-18T22:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reuncut.com.au\/?p=10328"},"modified":"2017-10-19T08:00:37","modified_gmt":"2017-10-18T22:00:37","slug":"how-do-you-generate-leads-in-real-estate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/channels.realty.com.au\/realtyuncut\/how-do-you-generate-leads-in-real-estate\/","title":{"rendered":"HOW DO YOU GENERATE LEADS IN REAL ESTATE?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The best agents very rarely must ask this question and there is a reason for that.<\/p>\n<p>They have been able to create a business that does not rely on having to chase new listing leads all the time.\u00a0 They have created an \u2018attraction business\u2019.\u00a0 A business that acts like a magnet and has people coming to them to list and sell their property instead of the other way around.<\/p>\n<p>This does not happen overnight.\u00a0 To establish a business like this takes time, experience, patience and the right mindset.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent <u>interview I did with John McGrath<\/u> he makes the point that \u201cit is all about mindset\u201d.\u00a0 Mindset is what will set you apart.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s set the foundation for the mindset you need to develop to achieve an attraction business.\u00a0 Here are some points to work on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Forget about the transaction (list and sell)<\/li>\n<li>Think about the person<\/li>\n<li>Start to set up a relationship<\/li>\n<li>Give instead of take &#8211; information<\/li>\n<li>Set out to help them achieve their goals NOT yours<\/li>\n<li>Treat everyone you meet the same way<\/li>\n<li>Follow up, follow up, follow up<\/li>\n<li>Ask \u201cHow can I help you?\u201d \u201cWhat do you need from me?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Think abundance not self interest<\/li>\n<li>Listen more than you talk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you meet someone new make sure you record all their details in a <a href=\"https:\/\/v2.lockedoncloud.com\/signup\">CRM system<\/a> and then plan to keep in touch.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t get lazy and send everyone the same thing \u2013 your latest listings.\u00a0 Think about what they will value (point 4 above).\u00a0 Just sending a newsletter with your latest listings and opens is so wrong will be ignored.<\/p>\n<p>The agents who keep in touch with me, whose relationship I value, are the ones who send me articles, news items and information they think will interest me.\u00a0 They probably send it to lots of people like me, but I feel as if I am the only one they are sending it to because it is what they know interests me.<\/p>\n<p>Get to REALLY know the people you meet.\u00a0 This is how you build relationships and that is how you can keep a constant flow of potential sellers coming into your funnel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The best agents very rarely must ask this question and there is a reason for that.
