{"id":27850,"date":"2020-04-24T15:00:27","date_gmt":"2020-04-24T05:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/realestatetalk.com.au\/?p=27850"},"modified":"2020-04-24T15:00:27","modified_gmt":"2020-04-24T05:00:27","slug":"market-continues-to-slow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/channels.realty.com.au\/realtytalk\/market-continues-to-slow\/","title":{"rendered":"Market continues to slow"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><b><\/b><strong><b>Seller discounting increases<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b><\/b><strong><b>Listing numbers fall by 30%<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b><\/b><strong><b>Auction numbers fall further<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u><b>Last week<\/b><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last week, a total of 1,922 homes were scheduled to go to auction across the combined capital cities, returning a final auction clearance rate of 30.2%; once again surpassing the previous week as the lowest on record for CoreLogic. \u00a0\u00a0Of the 440 properties reported as being sold across the capital cities, 60.9% sold prior to the scheduled auction date and of the 1,444 results collected more than half were withdrawn (56%).<\/p>\n<p><strong><u><b>This week and weekend<\/b><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The number of homes scheduled for auction this week takes a dive, with only 314 properties scheduled for auction across the combined capital cities. \u00a0The lower volumes this week can likely be attributed to Anzac day this weekend taking precedence on Saturday, a day that is usually the auction markets busiest day.
